Why Deck Gaps are Necessary

Deck gaps
- Are the intentional spaces placed between the top decking floor boards. These gaps are typically installed with a 3/16 inch wide gap but can range from 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch wide or wider. They are required to prevent water and structural damage
